Give LOVE, Give BLOOD!

Still looking for the perfect Valentine gift? What about a "life-saving" one?

UNM-Gallup MLT Program is sponsoring a pre-Valentine life-saving event on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 (9:00AM to 2:00PM) at Gurley Hall Commons AreaPlease help our community by donating blood or recruiting donors. There is always a need for blood and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and every pint of blood you donate can save up to 3 lives!

Who can donate blood?

For the most part, donors must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. All 16- and 17-year-olds must have parent or guardian permission to donate (see minor donor permit). There is no upper age limit. All donors must pass the vital signs and health history examinations given prior to donation. Please see donor eligibility below.

Reminder to donors:

Successful donors will receive a light refreshment and Hero Rewards from Vitalant (formerly United Blood Services.

Our community needs your help. If you are not able to donate, you can still help by spreading the word and recruiting potential donors. Please help us share this information to everyone in the community. Thank you.

Find the hero in you. Give blood, save lives!
